CHIEF DATA OFFICER
The Chief Data Officer (CDO) provides vision and strategy for all data management activities. The CDO is a champion for global data management, governance, quality, and vendor relationships across the state enterprise. The CDO works with state agencies, the legislature, key stakeholders, and the public to align business and technology initiatives as well as partner public and private sector needs.
The CDO’s role includes collaboration with state agencies to establish data policies, standards, and organization of enterprise data management concepts; establishing data governance; and organizing and implementing policies, procedures, and responsibilities that outline and enforce rules of engagement, decision rights, and the accountabilities for the effective management of information assets.
